Ownership signature of Charles Sayle, Cambridge, June 1892 on ffep and inscription on lower pastedown by Sayle. Charles Sayle (1864-1924) was an English Uranian poet, literary scholar and librarian. Sayle's salon, a circle of bright, handsome and predominantly homosexual young men, included Rupert Brooke, George Mallory, Augustus Bartholomew and Geoffrey Keynes. Signed by Victor Plarr, June, '92 on page listing members of the society. Victor Gustave Plarr (1863-1829) was an English poet and was a founding member of the Rhymers' Club.
